Introduction & Update

Hi Everyone! I'm Jess and I live in the beautiful Tenterfield area with my wonderful partner, Andrew and my two children, Mackenzie, who is 9 and Chase who is 2. We have a small farm outside of Tenterfield with several horses, our 3 beautiful dogs, chickens and a sassy Sun Conure bird named Sprocket.

I have a full time job and run my soap business on the side. I started Tenterfield Soap Co after Chase was having some skin issues. He had a rather nasty rash over his back. We went to the doctors and got some cream, but once the rash was gone with the cream, and he had a break for a bit, it would come back. While he was in the bath one day, I picket up the soap box and read the ingredients on the back. I was shocked that I didn't recognise most of the ingredients. I figured I could do better, so I started researching.

I started making my soaps for our personal use and had given some to friends and family. To my shock, my friends and family wanted to buy them from me! And that is how Tenterfield Soap Co was born.

Currently I have been busy planning Summer soaps (one is made already and is happily curing in the drying racks), and making the Christmas soaps. I'm so excited for the Christmas Soaps. I absolutely LOVE Christmas and can't wait to release these soaps for everyone to enjoy!

I'll have 1 Summer soap, and 4 Christmas soaps. The Christmas soaps will be sold in a boxed set of 4, and the Summer Soaps will be available sold separately.

I was told by a friend the other day that Glenn Innes is running a 'Christmas in the Highlands' market event and given the contact details. I have sent my forms through to them and have my fingers crossed that my little soap store will be accepted to participate! I have high hopes so have started planning my setup. I have plenty of stock, I'll have Christmas soaps to sell in a beautiful boxed set, and 2 new products to be released at the market that I am so excited about! I look forward to seeing as many of your beautiful faces as I can out and about, hopefully at the Christmas in the Highlands market!
